The "WHOIS" Tool

WHOIS is a request/response protocol which is commonly used for requesting an official database to send info, on the owner of a domain, and IP address or an autonomous system number on the internet. The WHOIS system originated so an admin could look up info to contact other IP address or domain-name admins. This is almost like white pages from the phone book.

It told me who owns it or if its private.
